Preparing Before Your Tour

Let's Get Ready!

Preparing Before Your Tour

We’ve compiled some information to help you prepare before your tour.

How To Prepare Before your tour

  • Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in with your guide. First, you will select your bike and safety gear. Then your guide will show you how to operate your Pedego Electric Bike.
  • Some things to bring would be rain gear if the forecast calls for light rain. A phone or your camera for taking photos is a MUST HAVE. Lastly, don’t forget the sunscreen and/or sunglasses.
  • We provide a bottle of water, but no snacks. If you feel like you or your group will need a snack, you are welcome to pack one in the provided bike bag.
  • All guides carry a first aid kit for minor injuries. If you have any medical concerns, such as bee allergies or asthma, please bring your medications with you. Guides are not certified to administer these medications, but it is important that they are aware of your health needs. Guides will assist in any emergency.
  • We provide helmets, a bottle of water, bike bags, ponchos, child seats (at added cost), passenger accessories, a map for bike rentals, and, of course, our Pedego electric bikes!
  • Restrooms are available at our location.

Your Belongings

We are located the very active urban core of Omaha with a lot of activity. While it is a safe area, things can happen. It is best to leave any valuables at the place you’re staying. If needed you can bring them on your ride. The next best thing is to leave them in the trunk or out of sight in your locked vehicle. If you have already checked out of your hotel, and do not have a vehicle, we are happy to store your items in our locked building during your ride. However, River City e-Bike Adventures / Pedego Downtown Omaha will not be held liable for any missing or damaged items either left in our building or taken out on the bikes. It is no fun to end a ride with a lost or damaged item, so please keep them safe!

Plan your Parking Before Your Tour

Downtown Omaha parking is managed by Park Omaha. All street parking is metered. Meters in the blocks surrounding our shop are limited to 2 hour parking. Within a couple of blocks of the shop you can park in any of the Park Omaha garages less expensively and longer than parking at meters. Visit the Park Omaha website for more details on Downtown Omaha parking. Better yet, we are only a short walk from almost all downtown hotels.
